Leifheit AG: Dr. Günter Blaschke elected Chairman of the Supervisory Board
Nassau, Germany, 2 April 2019 - At the request of the Board of Management, Dr. Günter Blaschke (69) was appointed to the Supervisory Board of Leifheit AG with effect from 1 April 2019 by the District Court of Montabaur and was elected Chairman of the panel by the supervisory board today.
The appointment, which was made in accordance with § 104, German stock corporation act (Aktiengesetz), became necessary as Mr. Helmut Zahn and Mr. Ulli Gritzuhn resigned at due time from the Supervisory Board with effect from 31 March 2019. Dr. Blaschke will be a candidate for election to the Supervisory Board at the forthcoming Annual General Meeting of Leifheit AG on 29 May.
The Supervisory Board and the Board of Management of Leifheit AG would like to thank the departing Supervisory Board members for their many years of successful and productive work in the panel. The Management Board offers special thanks to Helmut Zahn who played an active role in the development of Leifheit as supervisory board member since 2001 and as its chairman since 2007.
With Dr. Günter Blaschke the company has appointed an experienced professional to the Supervisory Board. After various positions in Procter & Gamble, 3M and Joh. Vaillant he joined Rational GmbH in 1997, initially as Managing Director and was appointed CEO after the IPO. In this position he shaped the successful company development until end of 2013. Since 2014 Dr. Blaschke has been Chairman of the Board of WashTec AG.
