Leifheit successfully completes reorientation

 Kleine Wolke/Meusch sold to Possehl
Focus on Household Products division and strengthening Leifheit brands

Nassau/Lahn, 22 June 2010 - Leifheit AG, Nassau, is selling its subsidiary
Kleine Wolke/Meusch (the remaining part of the Bathroom Furnishings
division) in Bremen to Possehl Mittelstandsbeteiligungen GmbH & Co. KG,
Lübeck, with retroactive effect from 1 January 2010. The Board of
Management of Leifheit AG signed the contracts today. The contract is still
subject to approval by the Cartel Office. The purchase price is
confidential, but is in the high single digit millions. This step
successfully concludes Leifheit's disposal of its entire Bathroom
Furnishings division. Leifheit had already disposed of its Swiss subsidiary
Spirella at the start of this month, and announced discussions on the sale
of Kleine Wolke/Meusch.

This is a consistent pursuit of Leifheit's two central strategic goals:

 * With the complete disposal of the bathroom furnishings business,
Leifheit
has now successfully taken the next step in focusing on the four Household
Products core businesses - cleaning, laundry care, kitchen and scales.

 * Leifheit will use the funds and capacity released by this move to
strengthen its Household Products brands. This also includes expansion
through acquisitions in Germany and abroad, which Leifheit announced at the
start of the year.

The sale to the Possehl group, which intends to continue and expand the
business, preserves the 120 jobs at Kleine Wolke/Meusch, with attractive
prospects. Possehl is a diversified group of companies which holds its
investments in the long term, and will work with the existing management
team to preserve and expand the good market position of Kleine
Wolke/Meusch.

Kleine Wolke was integrated in the Leifheit Group in 1989, and Meusch
followed in 1999. Together with Spirella, they formed the bathroom
furnishing business, and in 2009 together with numerous other bathroom
accessories, they generated turnover of EUR 26 million. The company has
around 120 employees in Bremen and at its subsidiaries in Germany and
Switzerland.
